Semi Recent Tech Project:
I had this idea from a previous job that I had. They did mobile shows that required a registration system and internet access for users. So I started to learn how it worked and bought some tech off ebay and this is what I came up with. I called it a network in a box.
Specs:
Small Portable Sound Rack
Palo Alto PA200 Router – I had already
Cradlepoint with an Active Sim Card
4 port POE Switch
Cisco Aeronet Wirless Access point. This was changed to a Rukus AP
Lenovo Thinkcenter Running Proxmox for VM’s
Results: Tested at a convention that I went to in my hotel room. Worked fine, was able to use my own connection where I had control of everything, DNS, DHCP, WINS, ETC.
